“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. ”
Jody Capehart
My name is Jody Capehart, and I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. My heart is for children to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and to develop a lifelong love for learning.
Professionally, I am an educator, author, and speaker with over fifty years of experience. My education and administrative experience include teaching, starting seven schools in the metroplex including Grace Academy of Dallas in 1974, Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, and Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco, serving as minister to children at Grace Bible Church, teaching courses for Dallas Baptist University, and serving as the director of the Hope Biblical Counseling training program.
I currently serve as the head of school for Logos Christian Academy. I believe the Lord called me here and it is a joy to see Logos grow to be the school that God wants and we give Him the glory! I love our students, teachers, and families and I am very blessed to be at Logos where we can teach God’s Word, present and share Jesus Christ, and pray with the children.
For over twenty-five years, I spoke for MOPS, PTA, Women’s Ministries, ACSI, schools, churches, and conferences nationally and internationally. I am the author or co-author of seventeen books including Cherishing and Challenging Your Children, Becoming a Treasured Teacher, Teaching with Heart, Touching Hearts and Changing Lives, The Discipline Guide, You and Your ADD Child, and Discipline by Design.
I am married to Paul Capehart who is retired after forty-four years playing French horn with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. We have three grown children and five grandchildren. My interests include spending time with my family, reading, gardening, swimming, cooking, writing, and walking.
